So, It have always been fascinated by the things that people say. Why when someone thanks us for being thoughtful and kind, do we automatically respond with “It was the least that I could do.” I know what it is suppose to imply, yet it sounds to me like we are proud to be lazy. Why ever would we want to do the least we could do? Just my thought process! Yet I catch myself saying it, like everyone else. When I do I always add “And you know me, I always do the least I can do.” with a big smile on my face. Likewise when we have had company over for the evening and it’s time to say our goodbyes. Inevitably people will say “Thanks for having us.” To Which I always respond “Thanks for being had!”  This come back, I got from my dear old dad and have always loved it… I Love my life!
