In response to my post entitled We The People, I have been asked the question:
“So who would Ben Carson have you vote for…?”
My response would be respectfully: I really don’t care whom Ben Carson would want me to vote for. I have to be able to stand before God and give account for my actions. I have prayed up a storm on this one and my convictions get stronger each time I pray. So I have to do what I have to do. This is how I see it.
I am impressed with Ben Carson’s convictions, morals, stance on Life and that he never played the political down and dirty game. I also admire that he always thinks before he talks and doesn’t play mental manipulative games. The only thing I ever heard him say that I didn’t respect was when he endorsed Trump.
I have heard so many people say that they know Trump is bad but that he is the lesser of two evils. I have to admit that I have voted in the past based on that same premise. Yet I believe that that very thing is what has lead up to where we are today. We the People should have stood up long ago and made our voices heard. I am guilty as charged and I ask God to forgive me for it.
In this case though, I have to disagree with that statement. Evil is evil and I don’t think Clinton is worse the Trump I think that they are very much the same person. Both liars, haughty, proud, arrogant… and they are both just saying what they think people want to hear, and then each will do what ever he or she wishes to do once they are in power.
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
I most certainly don’t want Hillary to win, but at least we know where she is leading us. Hillary will persecute the church, but the church will grow under persecution and it will vanish with compromise. That being said let me focus onTrump.
Trump is a WILD card. I don’t believe a word he says. SO how can I trust that he will follow through with what he is promising? I really can’t get my mind around how many Christians are clinging to this immoral man, who claims to be a Christian. as is he is our countries only hope. The Bible says
You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
Sadly I also think that Christians are confusing patriotism with Christianity! I love America, But not as much as I love God. I am confident that God will exist even if America “goes to Hell in a hand basket” as my dad used to say. In fact it would do better then exist it would flourish.
I think Trump has played on our fears and has manipulated the church into the biggest compromise in our history and we have fallen to this lie like sheep to the slaughter. I believe he will destroy the church from within through compromise.
That being said, God is in control and I know that the leader that God wants in office for such a time as this Will be elected, and nothing I can do will mess up the will of God!
